MCI Vs PSG: Man City Confirmed Starting Lineup to Face Paris Saint-Germain
According to a report by London Evening Standard on Wednesday October 14, 2026, Manchester City have named a full-strength starting lineup for their Champions League showdown against Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Enzo Maresca’s side welcome the reigning European champions for their first home fixture since an independent commission found the club guilty of charges relating to alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations over nine seasons. City have denied wrongdoing and appealed against the verdict.
Despite the off-field controversy surrounding the club, Manchester City have no injury concerns ahead of the crucial European encounter. Their preparations have also been boosted by Foden’s return to selection after he completed a three-match domestic suspension following his dismissal in last month’s Manchester derby.
However, the England international has not been included in the starting eleven as City’s manager opts for a team similar to the one that defeated Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield last weekend.
Gianluigi Donnarumma retains his place in goal for the clash against his former club’s European rivals. Abdukodir Khusanov and Josko Gvardiol occupy the full-back positions, while Ruben Dias partners Marc Guehi in central defence.
Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez are selected as the central midfield pairing, with Rayan Cherki operating in an advanced role to provide creativity and support the attacking players.
Antoine Semenyo and Jeremy Doku will offer pace and directness from the flanks, while Erling Haaland leads the line as City look to secure another important Champions League victory.
Foden is among the substitutes and could feature during the contest if called upon. Mateo Kovacic, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Nunes are also available as options from the bench.
Manchester City will hope their attacking quality and recent victory over Liverpool can help them overcome the reigning European champions in front of their home supporters.
Donnarumma; Khusanov, Dias, Guehi, Gvardiol; Anderson, Fernandez; Semenyo, Cherki, Doku; Haaland.
Substitutes: Bettinelli, Rulli, Ndiaye, Kovacic, Ait-Nouri, Reis, Nunes, Bouaddi, O’Reilly, Allan, Foden, Lewis.
