Suame MP John Darko has honoured an invitation from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) as part of investigations into an alleged criminal conspiracy involving SIC Savings and Loans Company Limited, with the estimated financial loss revised to about Ghc27 million.
According to EOCO, Mr Darko reported to its office at noon on October 13, 2026, and was granted enquiry bail after cooperating with investigators.
The office also confirmed that former Managing Director of SIC Life Savings and Loans, Amma Frimpomaa Dwumah, has honoured its invitation and is cooperating with investigators.
EOCO said investigations are ongoing and no conclusion has been reached regarding the culpability of any person connected to the case.
