Bad News To Rigathi Gachagua As He Faces This In His Party And Turf Ahead Of 2027

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua established himself as one of the most influential politician in Mr Kenya region after his impeachment. The DCP leader has since encouraged vocal politicians from President William Ruto’s UDA. Gachagua has since positioned his party to the national level in preparation for next year’s general elections.

However, Gachagua while still in United States has received bad news following what might be happening in his yard. This is after sources revealed that some aspirants are accusing party leader Rigathi Gachagua and senior officials of favouring loyalists ahead of the 2027 elections.

The dispute in the party is threatening to undermine the party’s efforts to position itself as the political party for the Mt Kenya region, with disgruntled aspirants questioning whether the open nominations model showcased in the Ol Kalou by-election will apply across the party. This wrangles within the party is exposing great danger for Gachagua and his party and could see key allies dump the party for other political parties.
