9 children removed from Ohio home, 2 people charged with child abuse

OHIO (WTRF) — Two people were arrested and nine children were removed from a home following a child endangerment investigation in Ohio.

Detectives searched a home in the 13000 block of National Road SW on Oct. 13 after receiving a referral from Licking County Child Protective Services concerning allegations of child abuse and neglect, according to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators found 12 people between the ages of 1 and 64 living at the property. Nine were juveniles.

The sheriff’s office said detectives found living conditions that raised concerns about the children’s health and safety. All nine juveniles were removed and placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Jonathan Parr, 37, and Jacqueline Coleman, 32, were arrested on child endangerment charges. Both were taken to the Licking County Justice Center.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed. The Licking County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case.

Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
