2027: I Told Tinubu’s CoS If You Don’t Win In Lagos Don’t Say We’ve Won Because You Haven’t Won-Wike

In a video shared by TVC News Nigeria, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike spoke about the 2027 presidential election while recalling a conversation he had with Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, saying that winning Lagos State will be important for the president in the coming election.

Wike said he told Gbajabiamila that Tinubu would win the 2027 presidential election but stressed that winning Lagos State would also be important, adding that the president’s supporters should not claim victory without winning the state, as he believes the result in Lagos will be significant in the election.

The minister’s statement comes as political activities gradually build ahead of the 2027 general election, with Lagos expected to attract attention because of its political importance, while Wike shared his opinion on why winning the state should be considered an important part of the president’s electoral success.

In Wike’s words: “I told the Chief of Staff to President Tinubu the other day that the president would win, but if you don’t win in Lagos, don’t say we have won, because you have not won.”
