Barca have won all nine of their games in all competitions this season in what has been a flawless start by Hansi Flick’s side, but that run could be set to end after being stunned by their hosts before the half-time break – albeit it could have been much worse had a second not been ruiled out for offside by VAR.

Aleksey Batrakov was the man to put Galatasaray ahead in the 28th minute, after a strong driving run by Rafael Leao on the left-hand side was cut back to the edge of the box by the former AC Milan forward.

The Turkish side thought they had gone 2-0 up in the 34th minute through Baris Yilmaz but the forward was judged to have strayed into an offside position after a check by VAR in a let-off for the Blaugrana.

Galatasaray versus Barcelona kicked off at 8pm BST (10pm local time) on Tuesday, October 13 at RAMS Park in Istanbul.
