Victor Osimhen Names The Best Team In The World

According to a report by Metro on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has described Barcelona as the best team in the world ahead of Galatasaray’s Champions League meeting with the Spanish giants.

Barcelona have made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, winning all eight of their La Liga matches and scoring 34 goals, showing how dangerous they have been in front of goal. The Catalan club have also started their Champions League campaign in fine form after recording a convincing 5-1 victory over Feyenoord.

Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, knows his team will face a difficult challenge when they welcome Barcelona on Tuesday night, but the Super Eagles striker is excited about testing himself against some of the best players in European football.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Osimhen said: “I know that Barcelona is one of the best teams in history… and the best in the world right now. If you play against a team with players of such quality, you must play both with emotion and seriousness, and press in the attacking zones. The match against Barcelona will be difficult. But, to be honest, just like my teammates, I am also very excited about this encounter.”

Barcelona’s attacking strength has made them one of the teams to watch this season, with their ability to score goals giving opponents plenty to worry about. Their strong start in both domestic and European competitions has also increased expectations as they look to continue their impressive run.

However, Galatasaray will not be an easy opponent, as the Turkish champions are currently top of the Super Lig after eight matches and will hope to use their home advantage to trouble the visitors.

Osimhen will be expected to play an important role for Galatasaray, and the Nigerian forward will be eager to help his team produce a strong performance against Barcelona, despite recognising the quality of their opponents.
