Sanwo-Olu urges Nigerians to support Tinubu through door-to-door campaign

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged Nigerians, particularly youths and older citizens, to support President Bola Tinubu through the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign.

Sanwo-Olu made the call on Tuesday at the Lagos State rally of the campaign held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

He said the campaign provided an opportunity to engage directly with Nigerians, listen to their concerns and explain the administration’s policies and programmes.

ā€œThe door-to-door campaign provides an opportunity to engage directly with Nigerians, listen to their concerns and explain the policies and programmes of the administration,ā€ he said.

The governor encouraged Nigerians from different backgrounds to participate actively in the campaign to mobilise support for the Tinubu/Shettima and Hamzat/Sonayon political tickets.

ā€œOur youths, elders and people from all walks of life have important roles to play in building a stronger nation. We must continue to engage them and encourage their participation,ā€ he said.

He added that grassroots mobilisation and collective participation were important to achieving the country’s development aspirations.

The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign, Sunday Adekanbi, expressed appreciation to Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, for their leadership and commitment to national development.

Adekanbi said the campaign was designed to take the administration’s message directly to Nigerians in their homes and communities.

ā€œThe door-to-door campaign is designed to take our message to the people in their homes and communities, explain the administration’s programmes and encourage citizens to participate actively in the democratic process,ā€ he said.

He highlighted developments under the Tinubu administration, including road infrastructure projects, improved connectivity, an increase in the national minimum wage and palliative measures to cushion the effects of economic hardship.

According to him, direct engagement with citizens will help communicate the administration’s programmes, address public concerns and strengthen grassroots participation.

ā€œWe believe that direct engagement with the people will help us communicate the administration’s achievements, listen to citizens’ concerns and strengthen grassroots participation,ā€ he said.

The rally was part of efforts to mobilise grassroots support for the Tinubu/Shettima and Hamzat/Sonayon political tickets.
