Quiet Reception for Matiangi & Nyoro as ‘Wantam’ Rally Draws Relatively Low Crowd in Kajiado~Video

A noticeably thin crowd has greeted the latest opposition procession in Kajiado, where former Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro have led a street tour dubbed the ‘Wantam’ movement.

Despite the subdued atmosphere along the dusty streets, the political figures have pressed forward with their public engagements, waving to curious onlookers and small clusters of supporters who have gathered along the motorcade path.

The modest attendance has raised questions about the opposition’s current momentum in the region, yet the participating figures have maintained an unyielding stance against the current administration.

Standing atop their vehicles, the leaders have seized the opportunity to directly challenge President William Ruto’s governance, insisting that his administration has failed to address pressing public concerns.

They have publicly declared that the current presidency has become a single-term affair, popularly referred to as ‘Wantam’ and have vowed to sustain their political pressure across the country.

Addressing the gathered crowds, the leaders have assured their supporters that their political network has steadily gained ground across various counties despite the apparent low turnout at this specific event.

They have emphasized that key opposition principals have resolved to consolidate their forces into a unified front aimed at unseating President Ruto in the upcoming electoral contest.

According to their declarations, internal consensus among opposition factions has strengthened, paving the way for a joint strategy designed to present a formidable challenge to the ruling coalition.

As the motorcade has wound its way through the local centers, the leaders have urged residents to stay firm and trust in the coalition’s vision.

Though the day’s physical turnout has reflected a lukewarm reception in Kajiado, the figures leading the convoy have continued to project absolute confidence in their ultimate goal of sending the current administration home.
