National Petroleum Authority announces new price floors for Mid-October pricing window
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has published the ex-pump price floors for petroleum products for the pricing window spanning 16th to 31st October 2026.
Under the new directives, petrol has been pegged at a minimum floor price of GHS 16.09 per litre, while diesel is set at GHS 17.09 per litre. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carries a price floor of GHS 13.87 per kilogramme, with Marine Gas Oil (MGO Local) and Kerosene set at GHS 17.20 and GHS 17.45 per litre respectively.
In line with the Petroleum Product Pricing Guidelines (PPPG), all Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) and LPG Marketing Companies (LPGMCs) are required to comply with these baseline prices for the upcoming two-week period.
The NPA clarified that these minimum prices exclude premiums charged by International Oil Trading Companies (IOTCs), operating margins for Bulk Importing and Distribution Companies (BIDECs), and the respective Marketers’ and Dealers’ Margins of OMCs and LPGMCs. Individual petroleum service providers will independently determine those additional components in accordance with established regulatory guidelines.
