I’ve Sung Over 300 Movie Soundtracks And A Lot Of People May Not Know That I’m The One Behind — Lanre Afod

The Nollywood actor and producer, Lanre Afod, has revealed that he has sung over 300 movie soundtracks, insisting many fans do not know he is the voice behind them.

Speaking on Biola Adebayo Ent, Afod said he acts, sings, dances, edits, produces and directs. He said he has also written songs for many artists, including Alabi and Mayoku.

He said his biggest voiceover gig is the JAMB jingle on academic excellence, for which he was paid well.

In Afod’s words: “I act, I sing, I dance, I do everything entertainment. I’m an editor right now, I produce, I direct. I can say very well that I’ve sung over 300 movie soundtracks and a lot of people may not even know that I’m the one. I’ve written for a lot of people, collaborated with people like Alabi, a lot of people. I write for a lot. Apart from movie soundtracks, I do normal writing for a lot of artists. I also do voice over, I’m a voiceover specialist. A very obvious one is the one I did with JAMB, joint admissions and matriculation board, JAMB enhancing academic excellence.”
