I Don’t Believe China And Russia Are Helping Iran, But If They Are, They Have Too Much To Lose–Trump

According to a report by Vanguard on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, US President Donald Trump has said he does not believe China and Russia are providing assistance to Iran, arguing that both countries have too much to lose by getting involved.

Trump made the remarks on Monday amid growing pressure over reports alleging that Chinese and Russian entities have supplied Iran with intelligence that could be used to launch attacks against American troops.

The reports have raised concerns about the possible involvement of the two major powers in the conflict involving Iran and the United States.

Responding to suggestions that Beijing and Moscow were supporting Tehran, Trump dismissed the claims, insisting that he did not believe either country was assisting Iran.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, the US president said: “If they are, it’s at a very low level, but I don’t believe they are at all.”

He further argued that China and Russia would face significant consequences if they became involved in activities that could threaten American forces.

“They have too much to lose, and we would know about it, and know about it very fast!” he added.

Trump’s comments came as questions continued to emerge over the extent of cooperation between Iran and its international partners, particularly amid allegations that foreign intelligence could be helping Tehran target US military personnel.

Although reports have pointed to possible assistance from Chinese and Russian entities, Trump maintained that he had no reason to believe the two countries were actively supporting Iran.

The president also recalled his earlier position on the matter, noting that he had expressed similar concerns about potential arms sales to Tehran.

In July, Trump said he did not believe China and Russia were selling weapons to Iran. At the time, he warned both countries against taking such action, stressing that “it would be very bad for them” if they did.

His latest remarks reflect his continued scepticism about claims that Beijing and Moscow are directly assisting Tehran, while emphasising his belief that both countries would be reluctant to risk their interests by becoming involved.
