“I Am Supporting President Tinubu, But That Does Not Mean I Am Supporting Him As APC Member–High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich

During an interview on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, High Chief Sobomabo Jackrich explained why he supports President Bola Tinubu despite not belonging to the All Progressives Congress.

Jackrich made the clarification while discussing his political position ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The interviewer asked whether the ruling party’s leadership was aware of the grievances affecting him and his followers.

In response, Jackrich explained that his support for Tinubu was not based on membership of the APC.

He recalled contesting the 2023 Rivers State governorship election under the platform of the National Rescue Movement.

According to him, individuals should be able to support political candidates regardless of the parties to which they belong.

The Rivers Grassroots Movement leader maintained that his political decisions reflected his personal convictions about particular candidates.

He expressed admiration for Tinubu while acknowledging that he had concerns about certain aspects of the administration.

Jackrich explained that his support did not prevent him from raising complaints about the treatment of his followers.

Clarifying his position, Jackrich said: “I Am Supporting President Tinubu, But That Does Not Mean I Am Supporting Him As A Member Of The APC; I Have My Own Political Background And Can Support Any Candidate I Choose.”
