GAL 1-4 BAR: Match Review And Latest UEFA Champions League Table

According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Barcelona bagged a mouthwatering 4-1 victory over Galatasaray in their UEFA Champions League match.

Galatasaray started the game with confidence and took the lead in the 28th minute through Aleksey Batrakov, who found the back of the net after receiving an assist from Rafael Leao. The home side hoped to use the advantage to put pressure on Barcelona, but the visitors continued to create chances as they searched for an equaliser.

Their efforts eventually paid off in the 43rd minute when Joao Cancelo scored to bring Barcelona level, with Dani Olmo providing the assist. The goal gave the Spanish side a timely boost before the break, as both teams went into half-time with the score at 1-1.

Barcelona returned for the second half with greater determination and took the lead in the 50th minute through Fermin Lopez, who headed home a fine cross from Lamine Yamal. Just three minutes later, Anthony Gordon extended the visitors’ advantage, finishing a move created by Yamal to make it 3-1.

The two quick goals changed the game completely, leaving Galatasaray with plenty of work to do against a Barcelona side that continued to control possession and put pressure on the home defence.

Barcelona were not finished, however, as substitute Karim Adeyemi added a fourth goal in the 65th minute after receiving a pass from Gabriel Jesus. The goal put the result beyond doubt and rewarded Barcelona for their attacking display.

Galatasaray tried to respond in the closing stages, but Barcelona remained in control until the final whistle, having enjoyed 65 per cent possession and created several dangerous chances throughout the match.

With this important victory, Barcelona remain at the top of the UEFA Champions League table, strengthening their position in the competition, while Galatasaray slipped to 34th place after suffering another disappointing defeat.
