‘I was told dwarves came for me’ – Don Little recounts bizarre childhood encounters

According to report by Ghanaweb on Monday 12, October 2026, Ghanaian actor Don Little has recounted unusual experiences from his childhood, claiming that he was repeatedly taken away by dwarves while visiting his father’s hometown for traditional family activities.

The Kumawood actor shared the account during an interview on the Atuu Show, where he spoke about events he believes played a significant role in his early life and development.

According to Don Little, one of the incidents occurred when his mother put him to bed during a visit to the town. However, when she returned to check on him, she reportedly discovered that he was missing. He claimed that the family was subsequently told he had been taken by dwarves and would eventually be returned.

The actor said the child was later brought back, but the experience allegedly did not end there. He recounted that similar incidents occurred repeatedly, with the mysterious beings reportedly taking him to their land, where he would play and receive food before being returned to his family.

Don Little further explained that the alleged occurrences eventually came to an end after his family fulfilled certain customary obligations and his mother moved him away from the town.

Reflecting on the experiences, the actor suggested that his alleged encounters with the supernatural world might have influenced his physical growth and development. He also spoke about experiencing recurring episodes during which he would reportedly wander unconsciously towards nearby forests, describing them as similar to sleepwalking.

Although his account reflects his personal recollection and beliefs, the claims about encounters with dwarves and their possible effects on his development have not been independently verified.

Despite the challenges he associates with his childhood, Don Little has established himself as a recognisable personality in Ghana’s entertainment industry. He has gained popularity through his roles in Kumawood productions, earning a place among the country’s familiar comic actors.

His revelations on the Atuu Show have added another chapter to the actor’s personal story, drawing attention to the unusual childhood experiences he says he encountered while growing up.
