Explosion in northern Israel, students and teachers injured

The explosion which happened on Sunday morning has prompted the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel his plans to visit the occupied West Bank following the report of an explosion between Kibbutz Manara and Kibbutz Yiftach

The preliminary indications suggest the blast was caused by unexploded ordnance, resulting in injuries of varying severity to approximately 20 people.

Police officers from the Kiryat Shmona station (Northern District) are on-site, securing and cordoning off the area, while bomb disposal experts investigate the circumstances and source of the explosion.
