Baba Vanga’s most spine-chilling predictions for 2026 as mystic foresaw ‘collapse’
0Baba Vanga (Image: Wikimedia)Baba Vanga may have died decades ago, but many still believe that the prophecies kept by her followers give the world insight into what's to come in the modern day.
The Bulgarian mystic, who has been credited with accurately predicting many events of major worldwide impact, has reportedly left behind many predictions for the year 20206 – some of which are interpreted to have already come true, and others that are yet to be seen.
Mystic Baba Vanga reportedly left behind many predictions for the years after her death, including for the rest of 2026, some of which were interpreted as warnings about World War 3, an AI takeover, and the demise of political figures.
The woman, who was known as the "Nostradamus of the Balkans," after the 16th-century French astrologer best known for his book of cryptic poems that many people believe predict future world events, died in 1996, aged 84, but followers believe her alleged prophecies predict major world events for decades after her death.
In the past, she has been credited with foreseeing the deaths of world leaders, natural and human-caused disasters, and technologies that changed how the world operates.
Born Vangeliya Pandeva Dimitrova in 1911, in the Ottoman Empire (now Bulgaria), Baba Vanga became blind at age 12, after, followers claim, a tornado lifted her into the air and threw her into a field.
With the loss of her vision, some claim, she ended up developing a second sight – a mystical one.
Her work as a clairvoyant earned her respect within her community at first, before reaching a national scale.
Reports say that, by the 1960s, she was placed on the Bulgarian state payroll, having people of all kinds come to her for guidance – from politicians to ordinary visitors with health or family worries.
She died in 1996, aged 84, but not without leaving behind some major predictions many believe have since come true.
Some of the most popular allegedly accurate predictions by Baba Vanga are ones that say she said "Kursk" would be covered in water and mourned by the world, which followers say was in reference to the Russian nuclear submarine Kursk, which sank in August 2000.
She also allegedly had a line about "American brethren" falling after being attacked by "two steel birds," which would have predicted the September 11 attacks in New York in 2001.
Believers also credit her with foreseeing the death of Stalin in 1953, the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and the death of Princess Diana, among her most famous foresights.
On the other hand, some had said she predicted the US's first Black president, Barack Obama, but said he would be the last one, which was proven incorrect.
For 2026, she had a few alleged predictions. The first one would have been about humanity's first real encounter with extraterrestrial life.
She said the contact would take place in November 2026, and pictured a massive spaceship entering the Earth's atmosphere.
Baba Vanga would have also hinted that humans might also make contact with a civilization that already lives on Earth, but is still unknown to us.
Baba Vanga also reportedly warned that 2026 would be marked by hurricanes and tidal waves, though in no specific locations.
In 2026, many natural disasters affected regions worldwide.
Some of the most notable examples are the earthquakes in Venezuela, Colombia, and Japan, floods and landslides in Nepal, Asia, Africa, and most recently, Chile, and wildfires and heatwaves in Europe and North America.
Along with the predicted seismic movements, Baba Vanga also mentioned that we would likely face volcanic activity, which she said would trigger extreme climate effects across 8% of the planet's surface.
In 2026, there were 47 reported eruptions worldwide, but only a few were considered highly disruptive.
Examples include a severe escalation at Anak Krakatau, Indonesia, and massive ash plumes from the Ambae Volcano in Vanuatu.
Although they made for major headlines, none of this year's volcanic eruptions have reached catastrophic global levels.
Another forecast, which can be interpreted in many ways, is Baba Vanga's prediction of a major military confrontation involving the dominant world powers starting in 2026.
Some claim the prediction matched with the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which is considered to have started in February this year.
Other believers say the conflict is still to come, and may involve China and Taiwan or Russia and the US.
Baba Vanga's followers believe a third global financial crisis is expected to happen this year.
The worldwide meltdown – or, they say, at least a major slump – would bring stock market collapses, soaring inflation, and business failures.
Some followers say the seer predicted the rise of AI, and, more specifically, how the new technology would fundamentally change businesses and daily lives in 2026.
Believers say she raised questions about how humanity will maintain its independence in the coming decades.
Finally, in another prediction, Baba Vanga would have said, in 1979, in an interview with writer Valentin Sidorov: "All will thaw, as if ice, only one remains untouched – Vladimir's glory, glory of Russia."
"Too much it is brought in a victim. Nobody can stop Russia. All will be removed by her from the way and not only will be kept, but also becomes the lord of the world."
Some believe the quote signals the end of the current Russian leadership.
President Vladimir Putin just turned 74 years old this week, and is still in power.
