Tinubu: “North-Central Will Repay Him With Massive Votes In The 2027 Elections–Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, claiming that no previous Nigerian president has done as much for the North-Central region as the current leader.

Yilwatda made the statement on Saturday, October 10, 2026, during a grand endorsement rally organised in Lafia, Nasarawa State, in support of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a report by Daily Post, the APC chairman expressed confidence that the region would respond to what he described as the president’s contributions by giving him substantial electoral support in the next presidential election.

The rally brought together APC leaders, party members and supporters to demonstrate their backing for the Tinubu administration and strengthen the party’s political mobilisation efforts across the North-Central geopolitical zone.

Addressing the gathering, Yilwatda highlighted what he considered the achievements of the current administration in the region, arguing that Tinubu had made contributions that distinguished his government from those of previous presidents.

He called on residents of the North-Central states to recognise the administration’s efforts and demonstrate their appreciation through their votes in 2027.

Although the APC national chairman made a broad comparison between Tinubu’s performance and that of earlier administrations, the reported remarks did not include specific projects or data to substantiate his assertion that no previous president had done more for the region.

Nevertheless, Yilwatda expressed optimism that the APC would receive considerable support from the area, linking his assessment of the president’s performance to the party’s expectations for the forthcoming election.

The North-Central geopolitical zone comprises Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau states, alongside the Federal Capital Territory. The region remains an important area of political mobilisation for parties seeking nationwide support during presidential elections.

The endorsement rally in Lafia formed part of the APC’s efforts to consolidate its support base, encourage party unity and mobilise voters ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.

Yilwatda’s remarks also reflected the party leadership’s confidence in its ability to secure continued backing from communities across the region. He maintained that the president’s performance would encourage voters to support his bid for another term in office.

Speaking about the anticipated electoral response, the APC chairman declared that the North-Central region would reward Tinubu with a strong showing at the polls.

“North-Central will repay him with massive votes in the 2027 elections,” Yilwatda said.

His statement reinforced the central message of the rally, which was to encourage residents and party supporters to maintain their support for Tinubu and Shettima as the next general election approaches.
