Three Things Can Happen To This Election, It Might Go To Runoff, That Might Runoff Tinubu–Ayodele
According to a report by Leadership News on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Lagos, has identified three possible scenarios that could shape the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, warning that President Bola Tinubu may lose if the election proceeds to a runoff.
The cleric stated that a second round of voting could pose a serious challenge to Tinubu’s chances of securing another term in office.
He suggested that the president might struggle to emerge victorious if the election fails to produce an outright winner in the first round.
Ayodele also cautioned that the 2027 presidential election could be affected by developments that might lead to the declaration of a state of emergency.
According to him, such a situation could disrupt the electoral process and create uncertainty surrounding the conduct of the election.
In addition to his prediction about Tinubu’s electoral prospects, the cleric raised concerns about the future of Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
He suggested that Shettima might not be permitted to retain his position, indicating that changes could occur within the country’s current political leadership ahead of the election.
The religious leader made the statements in a video circulating on social media on Sunday.
During his address, he spoke directly to Tinubu about the possibility of a runoff and the potential consequences for the president’s ambition to secure re-election in 2027.
Ayodele further urged Tinubu and members of his family to seek prayers amid the political uncertainties he had outlined.
His remarks focused on the possible challenges facing the president, including the prospect of a runoff election and developments that could interfere with the normal electoral process.
Addressing the president directly, Ayodele said, “I want to tell Tinubu straight. If this election goes to runoff, sincerely, you will not win,” Ayodele said. He added, “Three things can happen to this election. The election might go to runoff, that might runoff Tinubu,” he said.
