Teen killed, adult hurt in separate overnight Milwaukee shootings

A teenager was killed and an adult was hurt overnight in unrelated shootings in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee police say a 17-year-old was shot and killed at approximately 9:40 p.m. Saturday near 39th Street & Lisbon Avenue on the city's north side.

The shooting happened just blocks away from Washington Park.

Police say they arrested a 14-year-old suspect in connection to the shooting.

Officers are now investigating what led up to the gunfire.

Milwaukee police arrested a 26-year-old suspected of shooting a 40-year-old shortly before midnight near 27th Street & Oklahoma Avenue, which is close to Aurora St. Luke's Hospital.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital but is expected to recover.

MPD crime data shows as of Oct. 8, Milwaukee has seen 84 homicides so far, which is down from 108 on the same date in 2025.

There have also been 325 non-deadly shootings, which is 99 fewer than this time last year.
