Serie A Table After AC Milan Drew 1-1
BBC Sport reported on Sunday, October 11, 2026, that AC Milan shared the points with Sassuolo after playing out a 1-1 draw at the Mapei Stadium in Serie A.
The visitors began the contest determined to claim victory, but Sassuolo matched their intensity and made life difficult for Milan’s attacking players. Both teams created opportunities in the opening half, yet neither side could find the net before half-time.
Milan threatened the home defence on several occasions, with Christian Pulisic and Gonçalo Ramos among the players who looked to open the scoring. Nevertheless, Sassuolo goalkeeper Arijanet Muric was in impressive form, making crucial stops to prevent the visitors from taking the lead.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 63rd minute when Adrien Rabiot put AC Milan ahead. The midfielder produced a left-footed finish after Luka Modrić supplied an excellent assist, giving the visitors hope of securing an important away victory.
However, Sassuolo refused to surrender and equalised just five minutes later. Cas Odenthal capitalised on a loose ball in the penalty area following Armand Laurienté’s corner, striking with his left foot to restore parity and lift the spirits of the home crowd.
With the score level, both teams continued searching for a decisive goal during the closing stages. Sassuolo maintained a solid defensive structure, while AC Milan found it difficult to turn their possession and attacking pressure into another goal. Neither side could produce a winner before the final whistle.
The result saw AC Milan rise to fourth place in the Serie A table despite dropping two points. Sassuolo also benefited from the draw, moving up to 10th after securing a hard-earned point against a strong opponent.
