Once You Hear Atiku Has Been Declared the Winner, Respect Yourself, Return Nigeria’s Money—Okonkwo
Kenneth Okonkwo, spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, has warned those who misappropriated Nigeria’s money to return it if Atiku wins the 2027 presidential election.
According to Okonkwo, Atiku has made it clear that his government would take action against people who mismanaged or stole public funds.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Okonkwo said he had access to privileged information and was confident that Atiku intended to recover money belonging to Nigerians.
He referred to the period when former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku served together, claiming that some people returned money during their time in government, while others made refunds after leaving office.
Okonkwo also mentioned the recovery of funds during Obasanjo’s administration, including money linked to the late military ruler, Sani Abacha.
He warned anyone who had misappropriated public funds under previous administrations to return the money once Atiku was declared the winner of the presidential election.
Okonkwo stressed that Atiku would work to recover the money for Nigerians if elected president.
In his words, “Once you hear Atiku has been declared the winner, just respect yourselves and return the money. Atiku will collect all the misappropriated money for Nigerians.”
