LIV Vs MCI: Man City Confirmed Starting Lineup Against Liverpool

According to a report by London Evening Standard on Sunday October 11, 2026, Manchester City have confirmed their starting lineup for today’s Premier League showdown against Liverpool at Anfield, with Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo both fit to start.

Enzo Maresca has also selected Nico O’Reilly in defence as City prepare for a difficult encounter against their title rivals.

Haaland leads the attack after recovering from the discomfort he experienced while representing Norway during the international break. The striker was previously seen limping and requesting to be substituted, raising concerns about his availability for the Liverpool clash.

However, Maresca confirmed that the Norwegian forward had recovered sufficiently to feature. Haaland also took time to rest and recover before returning to training ahead of the trip to Anfield.

Semenyo also returns to the starting lineup after withdrawing from Ghana’s squad for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches because of an injury concern. The winger trained with the team before the match and is considered ready to feature.

Iliman Ndiaye joins the attacking pair, while Rayan Cherki retains his position as the attacking midfielder. Cherki will operate ahead of Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez, who have been selected in central midfield.

O’Reilly also starts despite concerns about his fitness after withdrawing from the England squad during the international break. His inclusion provides a boost for Maresca as City prepare to face Liverpool away from home.

Gianluigi Donnarumma starts in goal, with Matheus Nunes, Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi and O’Reilly making up the defensive line. The back four will face a significant test against Liverpool’s attacking players.

Phil Foden remains unavailable because he is serving the final match of his three-game suspension following his red card in last month’s Manchester derby. Jeremy Doku is among the substitutes despite recently returning to fitness.

Maresca will now hope his selected side can deliver a strong performance at Anfield and secure an important result in the Premier League.
