KP Governor Kundi welcomes presidential proclamation, urges unity against terrorism

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor has welcomed the presidential proclamation, saying the people of the province want peace, stability, development and prosperity. He urged residents to stand alongside security forces in the fight against terrorism and called for unity to help secure a peaceful future for the province.

In his message to the people, the governor said residents wanted an end to terrorism and violence. He claimed that the people had decided not to support what he described as Fitna al-Khawarij, a term used by Pakistani authorities for militant groups.

He said the public stood with security institutions and supported efforts against terrorism. He also stressed the need for friendly relations and cooperation between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provinces, saying joint efforts could help promote development and prosperity.

The governor said people wanted democratic values to grow and the benefits of development to reach ordinary citizens. He added that the province needed peace and stability rather than unrest and confrontation.

He also urged residents to respect the law and avoid actions that could lead to violence, provocation or public disorder. He warned that those who disturbed law and order or took the law into their own hands would face legal action.
