I Saw Gov Of Delta Drive Range Rover To Oghara,I Said“Here Is Man That Has 2 Mercedes Of N2.5B-Agege

Former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has criticised Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over his decision to use a Range Rover to commission a project in Oghara, questioning why he did not use one of the two Mercedes-Maybach vehicles he claimed were in the governor’s possession.

Omo-Agege made the remarks during an interview on Viable TV on Sunday, October 11, 2026, where he questioned the governor’s choice of vehicle for the project commissioning. He argued that the governor’s possession of two expensive Mercedes-Maybach cars made his decision to travel in a Range Rover particularly noteworthy.

Recounting what he observed, Omo-Agege said, “Yesterday I saw the governor of Delta State. He drove his Range Rover to Oghara to go and commission project. And the first thing that crossed my mind I said ‘here is a man that has in his possession and custody two Mercedes Maybach each one valued at N2.5billion.’”

He added that the sight prompted him to question why the governor did not use one of the luxury vehicles for the journey to commission the project.

“And I was asking myself, why didn’t he drive the Maybach on that road to go and commission that project,” Omo-Agege said.

The former deputy senate president’s comments centred on the governor’s choice of vehicle and the reported value of the two Mercedes-Maybach cars, which he put at N2.5 billion each.
