Election Commission director general Shamshad Akhtar killed in Tank attack

TANK — Election Commission of Pakistan director general Shamshad Akhtar was killed by unidentified gunmen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district on Saturday, according to the state broadcaster and a statement reported by The Express Tribune.The Election Commission condemned the attack and expressed condolences to his family.
