Examinations, papers scheduled for Monday cancelled
All public and private educational institutions in Peshawar, Nowshera and Mardan will remain closed on October 12 (Monday).
According to official notifications, the Peshawar deputy commissioner announced the closure of all public and private schools, colleges and universities across the district.
In Nowshera, all public and private educational institutions, including schools and colleges, will also remain closed on Monday. All examinations and papers scheduled for the day have been cancelled.
All public and private educational institutions in Mardan will likewise remain closed on October 12. The examinations and papers scheduled for the day have also been cancelled.
It is pertinent to note that the closures follow the federal government’s imposition of governor’s rule and an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The chief minister has also been taken into custody, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called a meeting of the provincial apex committee for Monday. Important decisions aimed at ending terrorism are expected at the meeting.
