Another showdown in Delhi? INDIA bloc to hold protest over CEC; CJP gives 24-hour ultimatum

NEW DELHI: The Congress and other opposition parties will march to the Supreme Court on Monday, October 12, demanding chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The protest comes a day after a police crackdown on demonstrators in Delhi and amid fresh political tensions over the alleged misuse of force against protesters.
