Adeboye:I Was Invited By Pastor Ajeigbe,Before I Got There,They Said Daddy GO Wants To See Me-Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election, has revealed how he was invited to attend a National Thanksgiving event organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where he was informed that the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, wanted to meet him.

Sowore disclosed this during an interview on SYMFONI TV on Saturday, October 10, 2026, while recounting how he received the invitation to the religious gathering. He explained that the invitation came through his party’s new chairman, Pastor Samuel Ajeigbe, who is also a pastor with the RCCG.

According to Sowore, Ajeigbe contacted him a day before the event and informed him that Pastor Adeboye would be holding a National Thanksgiving programme. He said he decided to attend the gathering following the invitation from the party chairman.

Sowore further revealed that before he arrived at the venue, he had already been informed that Adeboye wanted to see him, although he did not provide further details in the quoted extract about the circumstances surrounding the proposed meeting.

Recounting how he learnt about the event and the General Overseer’s interest in meeting him, Sowore said, “I was invited a day before because our new party chairman is a Redeem pastor, Pastor Samuel Ajeigbe and he said Daddy GO was going to have a National Thanksgiving event. So I went there but before I got there, they had said that daddy GO would like to see me.”
