Russia is intensifying its attacks on Ukraine’s critical bridges, targeting transport links that keep troops, military equipment and supplies moving across the country. On October 9, Russian forces struck and destroyed a bridge over the Oskil River near Petrovka in the Kupiansk sector — a crossing reportedly targeted by Moscow in September as well. The campaign extends beyond the frontline, with repeated Russian strikes on Kyiv’s Northern and Southern bridges across the Dnipro River disrupting transport in the Ukrainian capital. Bridges in southern Ukraine have also faced attacks, raising concerns about the security of vital supply routes.
