Delhi is open, but only partly. Ahead of the CJP’s Jantar Mantar protest, 45 Metro stations have shut their entry and exit gates. Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba Road, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Kashmere Gate are affected, while interchange remains possible at most stations. New Delhi is the major exception. Trains have been cancelled, diverted or short-originated around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin. Namo Bharat access is restricted at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar. Connaught Place shops, restaurants and offices face closures. Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Sadar Bazar traders have also announced shutdowns, while Chandni Chowk’s position remains uncertain. Borders face heavy checks, Chilla is tightly controlled and mobile internet is suspended near the protest zone. Liquor shops are shut too. This report explains what remains open, what is closed and how a protest at Jantar Mantar is disrupting commuters, traders and businesses across the capital today now.
