Salasya drew attention to the ranch on September 28 after posting images taken during his visit to Gachagua. The pictures showcased the residence and its expansive surroundings, prompting discussions among Kenyans about the former deputy president’s lifestyle while abroad.

The property features a spacious, single-storey brick house fitted with large windows, glass doors and a veranda overlooking a well-maintained lawn. Its extensive grounds include green pastures, fenced sections, horses and Texas longhorn cattle.

Social media users also took notice of a white utility golf cart bearing the inscriptions “Wamunyoro Texas” and “Riggy G,” which appeared in the shared images.

However, the ranch had previously been showcased publicly. On August 2, 2025, Gachagua shared photographs of the property on social media with the caption, “Feeling at Home, far away from home.”

He later mentioned the residence while addressing Kenyans living in Texas on September 26. Gachagua explained that hosting the gathering at his home would offer a more comfortable and relaxed environment compared to holding the meeting in a hotel.

His remarks further highlighted the ranch’s role as a private residence where he can receive and entertain visitors.

Meanwhile, Gachagua’s political party has indicated that he intends to spend 15 days at the Texas property after completing his 50-day tour of the United States.

The ranch has since generated considerable curiosity among Kenyans, with many interested in its appearance, size and significance. Salasya’s visit, coupled with Gachagua’s own remarks, has renewed public interest in the former deputy president’s private life and activities beyond Kenya’s borders.
