‘Punda Ameanguka’ – Kalonzo says Kenyans have had enough of Ruto’s govt

Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revived the late Raila Odinga’s famous phrase ‘Punda amechoka’, saying Kenyans are overwhelmed by the cost of living and challenges in education and healthcare under President William Ruto’s administration.Speaking during a Kilifi rally on Saturday, October 10, 2026, Kalonzo said the situation had worsened to the point where the donkey, which Raila used to symbolise the struggles of ordinary Kenyans, had now collapsed under the weight of its burden.
