I was accused of being a witch and called barren by my ex husband family — Toyosi Adesanya

According to an interview on Oyinmomo TV on Friday October 9, 2026, Nollywood veteran actress, singer and producer, Toyosi Adesanya disclosed some of the ordeals she faced in her previous marriage.

Adesanya recounted some of her encounters with her ex-husband family. They were happy when she separated from him. They called her a witch and a barren woman.

In her words, “ I really went through a lot in my previous marriage. My ex-husband family called me a witch and a barren woman. They were so happy when I separated from him.

The actress revealed how her ex-husband had a child with another woman while still married to her. When she got to know, she shivered. Despite this, her ex-husband family accused her of being behind the predicament of the new born baby because the child became ill after four months.

Adesanya was taken to the palace of Deji of Akure to swear but the regent of the palace did not allow them to make her swear.

She said, “When my husband had a child with another woman, I was not aware but I later found out. It made me shiver.

“My ex-husband family still went on to accuse me of being behind the illness of the child after four months of birth. I was taken to the palace of Deji of Akure to swear.

“They said they would kill a goat and I would have to walk past its blood but the regent of the palace halted their plan.”
