How School Mourned During Burial Of Beloved Student Beheaded By Alleged Lover In Nakuru

Emotions ran high in Molo, Nakuru County, as family members, friends and fellow students gathered to bid farewell to 18-year-old Joy Wangui, the Form Four student whose brutal murder shocked the community.

Students joined other mourners at her burial, where sadness filled the gathering as people struggled to come to terms with the loss of a young girl whose life was cut short before she could complete her secondary education and achieve her dreams.

Wangui, a student at Molo Secondary School, was found murdered inside her home in the Kiambaa area of Moto Location in September.

Her death shocked residents after police reported that her head had been severed from her body.

Investigators also reported that a disturbing message had allegedly been written on a wall using blood, adding to the horror surrounding the incident.

The killing sparked anger and calls for justice, with many people expressing concern over the safety of young women and the rising cases of violence in relationships.

Detectives later arrested her 23-year-old boyfriend, Walter Kipkoech, in Lagwenda village, Kuresoi North, following a manhunt. He was identified as the prime suspect as investigations into the murder continued.

During Wangui’s burial, her family, friends and classmates were left mourning a life that ended too soon.

For many of the students who attended the ceremony, saying goodbye to one of their own was a painful reminder of how quickly life can change.

Wangui had been expected to complete her secondary education and look forward to a brighter future. However, her dreams were cut short, leaving her loved ones with painful memories and unanswered questions.
