Divorced woman stabbed to death over ‘honour’ in Burewala
A man killed his divorced sister-in-law by repeatedly stabbing her over “honour” in Burewala on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The incident took place in village 229-EB of Burewala where the accused invited the deceased, who was identified as Saba Bibi, to her father’s house and attacked her with a knife.
Reports revealed that the father and uncles were also present in the house at the time of the murder.
After receiving the report, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rana Imran Tipu rushed to the spot and shifted Saba Bibi to hospital in critical condition, but she breathed her last.
The heirs of Saba Bibi refused to take any legal action against the accused, but the police registered the first information report on behalf of the victim’s uncle, in which his father, Zulfiqar Kharal, is also nominated.
Five accused, including Tayyab Nawaz Kharal, were nominated in the first information report (FIR).
