Police in Calcutta have opened two murder dockets and an inquest docket following a shooting that left three people dead in Lillydale Trust on Thursday, October 8, at 16:00.

The two women, identified as Marvel Khosa and her daughter, Ayanda Khosa, were later declared dead at the facility.

“It is alleged that there was a family meeting to resolve domestic issues,” said Mpumalanga police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo.

Masondo said Mndawe allegedly retrieved a licensed firearm from his vehicle and shot the two women, before allegedly turning the gun on himself.
