Tinubu: You Are Like A Dull Student Who Copied His Classmate’s Answer With His Name On Top- Atiku
According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, October 9, 2026, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, comparing him to a dull student who copied another student’s answers without understanding the lesson.
Atiku made the remark while addressing journalists in a video, where he accused the president of borrowing ideas without properly understanding their meaning or the lessons behind them.
The former vice president suggested that Tinubu had adopted an idea previously presented by another political figure but failed to understand its underlying message.
He also referenced former Rivers State governor and ADC vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, saying Amaechi had attempted to explain the lesson while speaking.
Atiku’s comments appeared to be directed at the president’s approach to political ideas and his understanding of the issues being discussed.
Through the comparison, the ADC presidential candidate portrayed Tinubu as someone who imitates others without demonstrating originality or a clear grasp of the subject.
He argued that borrowing an idea without understanding its context was comparable to a student copying a classmate’s examination answers and then attempting to claim credit for the work.
Atiku used the analogy to question the president’s ability to understand and properly apply ideas, suggesting that simply adopting another person’s position does not amount to original thinking.
The former vice president’s remarks add to the growing political exchanges between opposition figures and the Tinubu administration as political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to attract attention.
He concluded his criticism by directly addressing the president and using the classroom analogy to emphasise his point about originality and understanding.
Atiku said: “Wait a minute Bola, you have borrowed the idea but missed the lesson and Amaechi tried to define the lesson while speaking.
“Bola, you are like a dull student who copied his classmate’s answer, you have done it so blindly that the classmate’s name at the top of his exam paper and then demanded marks for original thinking.”
