Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Hit With ‘Catastrophic’ Allegations 3 Months After Marriage

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s honeymoon stage may be over as their plans for their married life hit a major hurdle.

Swift, 36, and Kelce, 37, who married three months ago in a July 3 ceremony at New York’s Madison Square Garden, faced backlash from their Ohio neighbors at a village planning meeting on October 6, the Daily Mail reported on October 8.

The couple’s plans to erect fencing and plant trees around their $5 million mansion in Bratenahl were the source of much strife at the meeting, with residents accusing the “absentee” couple of causing a “tremendous blow” to the community’s “peace and quiet,” according to transcripts obtained by the Daily Mail.

In September, the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board approved plans to build a 6-foot fence around the property, but neighbors raised concerns about the couple’s landscaping plans during a Tuesday meeting.

Katherine Bolton, who has lived next door to the home Kelce and Swift bought in March for over three decades, predicted there would be “catastrophic sewer backups” if the couple planted evergreens near the old sewage line their properties share.

Bolton is allegedly discussing the dilemma with Swift and Kelce’s attorney after she was quoted $75,000 to line the sewage system against roots. “This applicant may decide to sell her house next year, maybe move on and buy another house,” Bolton said.

“What am I going to do when I have 50 evergreen trees on my sewer line, and they’re gone?” she asked. “And I’m still living here in Bratenahl.”

Another, Chuck Bauernschmidt, who lives two doors down from the A-listers, accused the pair of “ridiculous … clear-cutting of the shrubbery and everything else.”

He claimed “all the trees are gone” and expressed concerns that deer could impale themselves on the planned fence.

Kelce and Swift’s planner, Jacob Kutz of Tiny Construction, defended his clients, explaining they were “looking for privacy and security … after one of the largest sales in Cuyahoga County.” He also noted that the couple scaled back plans for an 8-foot fence to a shorter 6-foot fence that stops short of Lake Erie.

Kutz claimed they made changes “just to show that [they’re] good neighbors,” including having the sewage line jetted and cleaned “without asking for help” and adding a gate for Bauernschmidt, who felt “closed off.”

A third plan for the property will be presented at a future meeting, but the board did approve the landscaping in front of the estate on Tuesday.

In September, after The Wall Street Journal reported that Kelce purchased the $5.35 million lakefront estate outside of Cleveland, USA Today reported that the home was acquired in March through an Ohio LLC formed days before the sale. Property tax records list André Eanes, Kelce’s longtime business manager, as the recipient of tax correspondence.
