Official documents show OGDCL records highest earnings in 10 years

Oil and gas companies in Pakistan earned a combined profit of Rs2,708.43 billion over the past 10 years, according to documents detailing the financial performance of major firms in the energy sector.

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) emerged as the most profitable company, recording earnings of approximately Rs1,250.2 billion during the decade. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), Gas Holding Private Limited and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) were among the other companies that reported substantial profits.

According to the documents, OGDCL generated the highest profit among the listed companies, earning Rs1,250.2 billion over the 10-year period.

Pakistan Petroleum Limited ranked among the leading profit-making firms, recording earnings of Rs620.30 billion during the same period.

Gas Holding Private Limited reported a profit of Rs377.1 billion, while Pakistan State Oil earned Rs218.7 billion over the decade.

The documents also revealed the financial performance of Pakistan’s major gas utilities and liquefied natural gas companies.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) earned Rs97.83 billion over 10 years, while Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) recorded a profit of Rs86.1 billion.

Pakistan LNG Limited reported earnings of Rs58.2 billion during the decade.

Together, the figures highlight the reported profitability of several major companies operating across Pakistan’s oil, gas and LNG sectors.
