Millie Odhiambo Breaks Silence As Homa Bay Burns Over Sebo Arrest, Reveals What Is Really Going On

Homabay town woke up to tension after the arrest of Kassim Abdi Sebo. Angry youths poured into the streets and lit bonfires. Police responded with tear gas as running battles stretched through the day.

Businesses closed their doors as traders feared looting. Transport was paralysed and residents rushed home before the situation worsened. Many described the scenes as the worst the town has seen in weeks.

Sebo is widely seen as an influential youth mobiliser in the county. Police have linked him to the violence that hit the Linda Mwananchi tour on August 16. Detectives had earlier ordered him to report to their offices.

Now Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has weighed in. In a Facebook post she said what is happening in Homabay is sad. She said it was planted and took root before it germinated and began producing fruit.

Her message has drawn thousands of reactions and over 1600 comments. Many read it as a hint that the demonstrations did not come out of nowhere. Others believe she was pointing at deeper political planning behind the unrest.

Millie has also been in public wrangles with Governor Gladys Wanga. That has added more heat to a county already boiling over politics. Leaders now fear the tension could spill into more towns.

Religious leaders have already warned that the use of goons could bring anarchy and scare away investors. They urged youths to shun violence and focus on economic activities.

Police say they are pursuing more suspects and have promised to deal with anyone behind the chaos. Residents are waiting to see whether calm will return or the streets will erupt again. For now Homabay remains tense with all eyes on what comes next.
