It’s People’s Husbands Funding Your Shops How Can You Afford Those—Showboy Speaks Out on Young Women

According to a Post by Ghbase on Facebook Official account on Friday, Oct 9, 2026, Ghanaian entertainer Showboy has sparked a discussion after making claims about how some young women finance their businesses, suggesting that married men are behind the success of certain shops in wealthy areas of Accra.

Speaking during a reaction to TikToker Queen Flow, Showboy questioned how some young women could afford to rent expensive commercial spaces and stock their shops with products.

According to him, some of the businesses owned by young women in East Legon may be receiving financial support from married men.

He argued that people could visit shops in the area, inquire about their owners, and question whether the young women running them could independently afford the high rental costs and money required to purchase goods.

Showboy suggested that some of these women might be relying on financial assistance from men who are already married to maintain their businesses.

He also expressed the view that women in similar situations are sometimes unfairly judged by others, using the term “t3fll3,” which he appeared to use as an insult.

His remarks came after Queen Flow confronted him during a TikTok Live session over comments he had previously made about Ghanaian TikToker Asantewaa.

The exchange brought attention to the disagreement between the two social media personalities, with Showboy using the opportunity to share his views on relationships, money, and the financial lives of some young women.

However, his comments about the alleged financial support from married men remain his own claims and do not establish that the businesses he referred to are funded in that way.

The incident adds another chapter to the ongoing exchanges among Ghanaian social media personalities, where comments made during live broadcasts often generate further discussions online.
