GCB Bank Serves Breakfast Nationwide As Customer Service Celebrations Expand
GCB Bank has rolled out a nationwide customer appreciation initiative, treating customers to complimentary breakfast at more than 180 branches across Ghana as part of its Customer Service celebrations.
The activity has brought a festive atmosphere to banking halls, with customers enjoying free refreshments, opportunities to win branded souvenirs and other gifts. The initiative is designed to thank customers for their continued support while making routine banking visits more engaging.
Rather than adopting a uniform menu across its branches, GCB Bank has allowed each location to create its own breakfast spread. This has introduced an element of surprise, as customers discover what is available when they arrive at their respective branches.
At the Labone Branch, customers were welcomed with an assortment of fresh fruits, while the Tetteh Quarshie Branch offered hot beverages and cookies. Other branches across the country served a wider selection of refreshments, including oats, porridge, cereals, pastries, fruit juices, sandwiches, spring rolls and chicken nuggets.
Cynthia E. Ofori-Dwumfuo, Chief Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Officer of GCB Bank PLC, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to putting customers first.
“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and Customer Service Month is our way of saying a heartfelt thank you,” she said.
She explained that this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” represents the bank’s commitment to going beyond customers’ expectations in its daily operations. According to her, the breakfast activity is only the beginning of a broader programme planned throughout October.
Ofori-Dwumfuo added that the bank wants every customer who visits its branches to leave with a clear sense of being appreciated and valued.
This year, GCB Bank has extended its customer service celebrations from a single week to the entire month of October. The programme includes activities across branches, communities and online platforms.
Among the planned activities are a Customer Town Hall, where customers can share their views with the bank’s leadership, and executive branch visits aimed at giving senior managers first-hand insight into customers’ experiences.
The calendar also includes Patrons Appreciation Day, the GCB Aerobics Fiesta, branch appreciation programmes and customer education sessions.
The complimentary breakfast activation runs until Friday, October 9, giving customers an opportunity to visit their nearest GCB Bank branch and participate in the initiative before it ends.
Through the extended programme, the bank is seeking to strengthen customer relationships and demonstrate its commitment to service beyond everyday banking transactions.
