Nairobi : Kasarani Woman Dies In Mwiki Hospital After Secret KSh 6,000 Procedure Went Wrong

A family in Nairobi’s Mwiki area is seeking answers following the reported death of Dorcas Karimi, a mother of three who allegedly died after undergoing a medical procedure at a local facility.

According to the account provided by the family, Karimi visited Ponya Medical Centre after discovering that she was pregnant and seeking a confidential medical procedure. She reportedly left home at about 9 a.m., but relatives were later informed that she had died at the facility several hours later.

The family has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her death, including concerns about the qualifications of the person they allege administered an injection to Karimi. They are also seeking clarification over how her body was transferred to the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital mortuary and why they say they were not immediately given a clear explanation of what had happened.

Relatives are calling for the circumstances of the death to be investigated and for authorities to establish whether all procedures at the facility were conducted by appropriately qualified and authorised healthcare professionals.
