Investigators said the two men worked for the same third-party delivery company.

Just before 8 a.m. on Monday, the Logan County Sheriff's Office said it was alerted to a disturbance in the eastern part of Logan County on College Avenue.

"The disturbance happened to be between two delivery drivers that were in the same truck. The delivery drivers were attempting to deliver a stove and during the delivery they realized, they made contact with a homeowner, they realized they were at the wrong address," said Undersheriff Troy Dykes.

Dykes said witnesses indicated the driver was acting abnormally.

"He seems under the influence of something but we're not really sure," a 911 caller said.

Dykes said after the attempt to deliver the stove, the driver of the delivery truck got into a car with four juveniles who were on their way to school.

"The driver had convinced the other juvenile occupants that he belonged in that vehicle and needed to go with them," Dykes said. "The juveniles then left the scene and after a brief moment they realized that the occupant didn't need to be in that vehicle. They came back and returned him to the delivery truck without any incident."

The Undersheriff said the delivery men then got back into their truck and left, but another disturbance happened while they were inside of the truck.

"We're trying to determine what that was about and both the driver and the occupant got out of the vehicle and started fighting in the roadway. There was one victim that was stabbed. There was another victim that was shot. We're trying to determine in what order or for what reasons this incident happened," he said.

"The driver was the one who was being erratic and tried to push him out of the truck. so he pushed him out of the truck and ran him over and then tried to kill him," the 911 caller said.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office said the man who was shot and killed is 25-year-old William Conway III.

The man who was stabbed is 28-year-old Marquelle McCray. He was taken to the hospital.

Investigators are working to determine exactly what unfolded and why the situation escalated.

"We'll have investigators interview the other person that is still alive in this incident. His condition is unknown right now but they just believe that we'll be able to interview him later on today," Dykes said on Monday morning.
