Prepare for Morning and Afternoon Rains Tomorrow, Monday, If You Live in These Areas – KMD

The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has forecast rains in several parts of the country on Monday, October 5, with some areas expected to receive showers during both the morning and afternoon.

According to the forecast issued on Sunday evening, Mandera and Marsabit are among the areas likely to experience rain during both periods.

Mandera is expected to receive moderate rains and thunderstorms in a few places in the morning, followed by moderate showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

In Marsabit, moderate morning rains are expected in a few places, particularly Moyale, with moderate showers and thunderstorms likely in some areas in the afternoon.

Wajir could also record rainfall during both periods, with light rains expected in a few places in the morning before moderate showers and thunderstorms develop in a few places in the afternoon.

Kilifi and Lamu are likely to have light showers in a few places during both the morning and afternoon, while Kirinyaga and Murang’a could also receive light rains during the two periods.

Several other areas could receive rain in the morning before conditions turn mainly dry in the afternoon. Mombasa and Kwale are expected to have light morning showers in a few places, followed by sunny intervals.

Embu and Kiambu could similarly experience light morning rains in a few places before sunny intervals in the afternoon.

Nyeri is forecast to have cloudy conditions and sunny intervals in the morning, with light showers likely in a few places during the afternoon. Bungoma and Busia have a chance of light morning rains in a few places, while Siaya and Kisumu could also receive light morning rains.

Other areas expected to receive afternoon rainfall include Garissa, where light showers are likely in a few places. Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Murang’a are also expected to have light afternoon showers in a few places, while Kilifi and Lamu could experience similar conditions.

Most other parts of the country are expected to have sunny intervals on Monday. Nairobi is forecast to experience cloudy conditions and sunny intervals in the morning, followed by sunny intervals in the afternoon.
