A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Buba Galadima, has recalled warning former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai that he might be jailed over the way he carried himself.
Galadima said he visited the NDC presidential running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso and begged him to stop El-Rufai from returning to Nigeria from Egypt after he was indicted.
Featuring on Naija Unfiltered Podcast, Galadima insisted that El-Rufai is suffering from what he did to others.
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Bola Tinubu “to direct the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF), Abuja and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to urgently account for over ₦94.4 billion in public funds reportedly diverted, unremitted, unaccounted for or irregularly spent.”
The grave allegations are documented in the 2024 (Volume 2) Annual Report published by the Auditor-General of the Federation on 7 August 2026. According to the Auditor-General, the findings in the report variously covered periods between January and December 2023 and ending on 31 December 2024.
SERAP urged the President “to direct the appropriate anti-corruption agencies to promptly investigate over ₦94.4 billion in public funds reportedly diverted, unremitted, unaccounted for or irregularly spent, and ensure the prosecution of anyone responsible where sufficient admissible evidence is established, as well as the recovery and remittance of all the affected public funds.”

The Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has said that his investment in schools is aimed at creating an environment where children can acquire the knowledge, skills and character needed to become better and greater leaders.
Bamidele, who said the foundation stage of education remained critical to the development of individuals and the country, stressed that a society that desired sustainable development must pay serious attention to the quality of education provided to its children.
The Senate Leader, who spoke at Iyin Ekiti on Saturday during the inauguration of the renovated Government Science College, Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State, which cost over N200m, said, “The intervention was driven by my belief in human capital development and the need to give young people the opportunity to realise their potentials.”
A faith-based organisation, Victorious Prayer Network, has hosted a prayer session and feast for widows, orphans, and less privileged persons in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking at the event, the founder of the network, Evangelist Victoria Agori, stated that the feast was organized to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary and give underprivileged persons a sense of belonging.
Agori noted that Nigerians had cause to celebrate under President Bola Tinubu, citing ongoing economic reforms implemented by his administration.
She called for sustained prayers for the President and other political leaders to guide the nation toward growth and stability.
