Veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has spoken about his family background, disclosing that his father is Lebanese while his mother is from Ondo State, Nigeria.
Nouah shared the information during an interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by media personality Isbae U, where the discussion included questions about his physical appearance, heritage and cultural identity.
Addressing the questions about his background, the actor explained that despite having Lebanese ancestry through his father, he identifies strongly with the Yoruba culture because of the environment in which he was raised.
Nouah said he was born and brought up in Lagos, noting that growing up in the city exposed him to Nigerian culture and played an important role in shaping his identity.
The actor further revealed that his mother is an indigene of Ondo State, while his father is Lebanese, giving him a mixed family heritage.
Explaining how he views his identity, Nouah said, “I’m a Yoruba boy. I was born and bred in Lagos. My mother is from Ondo. My father is Lebanese. I was born and bred in Lagos.”
The veteran actor has established himself as one of the notable figures in Nollywood, with a career spanning several years in both acting and filmmaking.
