Second suspect involved in Rs1.5m dacoity killed during police encounter
MULTAN – A second suspected robber involved in a Rs1.5 million robbery was killed in an exchange of fire with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Multan.
According to sources, the killed suspect and his accomplices had looted a trader of Rs1.5 million at gunpoint three days ago in the jurisdiction of Shah Rukn-e-Alam Police Station. Following the robbery, the CCD launched an operation to trace the suspects. During an encounter a day earlier, one of the robbers was killed in retaliatory firing, while another suspect managed to flee the scene.

The fleeing suspect was subsequently traced by a CCD team, leading to another armed encounter. During the exchange of fire, the suspect was shot dead. A .30-bore pistol along with ammunition was recovered from his possession. Police cordoned off the area and launched a search for further evidence. According to police sources, the killed suspect and his accomplices were involved in other robbery and serious criminal cases as well. Further verification of their criminal records and details of cases against them was underway.
