Lilwin wanted to use me for 20 days, but wanted to pay me peanuts, that is why i shunned him – Van Vicker
According to report by Ghanaweb on Sunday 4, October 2026, Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Van Vicker has opened up about the circumstances that led to his decision to stop working with fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin.
According to Van Vicker, the disagreement stemmed from a proposed movie project for which he was expected to work for about 20 days. He explained that although he was willing to commit his time and professional expertise to the production, he considered the payment offered to be inadequate for the amount of work involved.
Van Vicker further alleged that there were concerns about how the financial arrangement would be reflected in LilWin’s accounts. He said the combination of the low remuneration and the disagreement over the financial arrangements ultimately influenced his decision not to work with LilWin again.
His revelation comes amid previous public comments by LilWin, who has on several occasions expressed disappointment over Van Vicker’s failure to accept his invitation to feature in one of his movie projects.
LilWin has also previously spoken about his preference for collaborating with Nigerian actors and actresses. He has cited his experiences within Ghana’s movie industry as one of the factors influencing that preference.
The latest comments from Van Vicker have reignited discussions among entertainment followers about professional relationships, remuneration and working conditions within Ghana’s film industry.
